The Foundation's grantees include established, comprehensive healthcare organizations and community-based agencies. They provide primary care services, including medical, dental, vision, and mental health care. They educate the community on health-related issues and link people to the screenings and services they need. They prepare county residents for health-related careers serving the county's underserved.
While their particular scope and focus may differ, all share a common goal. That goal is to increase or improve access to quality health care for northern Lake County's low-income residents, uninsured or underinsured individuals and families, and underserved neighborhoods and communities. To learn more about Foundation supported initiatives in 2010–12, we encourage you to read our 2012–14 Report to the Community.
The Foundation awards grants twice a year, in May and November. For information on applying for a grant, please see Program Guidelines and Grant Application Procedures.
